FUE Hair Transplant in Turkey
FUE hair transplant surgery is a procedure that involves taking individual hair follicles from the back and sides of the head and transplanting them to a part of the scalp that is suffering from thinning or baldness. FUE technique has increased its popularity among patients due to the obtained results and the short recovery time.
FUE Hair Transplant Procedure.
FUE hair transplant surgery involves transplanting hair from the back and sides of the head into empty areas such as a receding hairline or thin crown. Over a period of 6-12 months, these hairs grow back and replace previously lost hair. The result is a naturall full grown hair. The procedure is done under local anesthesia. When the patient cannot feel anything, our professional surgeons remove each hair follicle one by one. The extracted hair follicles are then transplanted using special submillimeter techniques.
The next part of the procedure applies an artistic touch, as our surgeons need to consider hair depth, angle, direction and density to provide as natural and realistic look as possible. The donor area from which the hair is taken heals with spot-like scars that are less than a millimeter in diameter. These FUE scars cannot be seen when the hair grows. In the first 1-3 months, the newly transplanted hair grows back in 4-12 months after shedding, this is when the final results appear. FUE hair transplantation should last 20 years and potentially lifetime, as it is taken from an area that does not suffer from the underlying hair loss process.
How many FUE sessions I will need?
Most patients will only need one hair transplantation session. Since we take the hair from a DHT- resistant area, the transplanted hair should stay for a significant period of time and grows in the newly transplanted area. However, some patients might find that certain areas aren’t full after the first transplantation or that the hair loss continues and they need a second hair transplant process to fill the bald areas.
Further transplants will always depend on the health of the patient’s donor area. Our hair transplant surgeons will always evaluate the donor area to check if the patient can go for another operation without sacrificing too much hair and leaving visible scars where the follicles are removed from in the back of the head. Our hair transplant surgeons will always recommend at least one year between the first and the second hair transplant procedure so they can evaluate the growth of the hair after a procedure. This way, they can plan where new follicles should be placed to achieve the patient’s desired result.
